David Duncan Morris
Partner | Principal Architect
David’s role as Principal Architect is to guide and protect the quality of design and documentation that the studio creates. He provides design direction, oversight, and review, and is responsible for the overall health and productivity of the studio. He is committed to creating homes that are a true reflection of their owners. His approach is rooted in an honest use of materials, a sensitive balance of scale and proportion, and a strong connection between the building and its natural surroundings. Before joining Woodhull, he studied architecture at the University of Tennessee and worked with two firms in D.C.
David spends time outside the studio on the water. He enjoys the stretch from North Haven to Castine to Stonington, dotted with incredible coves and islands.
