Derek Gillis

Derek has always been drawn to the design and functionality of buildings, and his time in the field has deepened his appreciation for the craftsmanship that brings them to life. After earning a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from Keene State College and spending a year in Italy as a travel guide, he began his career as an architectural designer at a firm on Massachusetts’ North Shore. His path eventually led him to carpentry, where he now takes pride in contributing to the creation of spaces from the framing stages through the finishing touches.

Outside of work, Derek is passionate about photography, music, sports, travel, and the outdoors, often exploring New Hampshire’s White Mountains or the rocky coastlines and beaches of Maine.
