Johan Kinnucan

Project Manager | Studio

Johan provides design mentorship for collaborating studio members. He prioritizes gentle site placement and reinterpretations of familiar forms/traditions. He takes time to get to know his clients and understand how their buildings can enhance their lives, sometimes in unexpected and delightful ways. 

After finishing his degree at Savannah College of Art and Design, Johan sought out cross-cultural design philosophies and modes of living by practicing in Brussels, Beijing, Austin, and New York City before landing in Maine. As a transplant, Johan’s goal is to seek out new discoveries for every season.  When not in the studio, Johan is brainstorming strategies and prototyping board games for 3-6 players and spending time with his wife, Amy, and baby, Lumi.
