Cabinet Maker

Keenan’s appreciation for fine craftsmanship began early, growing up in a Greene and Greene home built in the early 20th century. Surrounded by thoughtful architecture and handwork, he developed a lasting respect for materials, detail, and tradition. He attended Pasadena Waldorf School and an arts-focused high school before earning a degree in Religious Studies from Guilford College.

After exploring fine art and illustration, Keenan followed a pull toward making and traveled from Southern California to the rocky coast of Maine to study furniture making at the Center for Furniture Craftsmanship in Rockport. He completed the nine-month comprehensive program and remained on as an assistant through the summer, further refining his skills. His experience includes work in cabinet and furniture shops as well as on high-end yachts, where precision and durability are paramount.

Outside of work, Keenan enjoys gardening, reading, and designing and building his own furniture. He also practices Aikido, a Japanese martial art centered on balance, discipline, and peace—principles that subtly inform his approach to craft.
