Project Manager | Commercial Studio

Skyler Fike is a Project Manager in the Commercial Design Studio with a uniquely diverse background that includes film, writing, photography, and entrepreneurship—elements that profoundly shape his approach to design and the practice of architecture. Skyler graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a degree in architecture and a minor in religious studies. During his studies, two formative moments reshaped how he viewed architecture and his place in the world as a creator. The first was after perusing the return bookshelf in the architecture college library, where he discovered Tom Kundig’s first monograph, Tom Kundig: Houses. The Brain Studio project, in particular, inspired Skyler to approach design with limitless curiosity and playfulness instead of rigid conventions. He also admires the Space Age Modern legacy of architect Jon Lautner, reinforcing his belief in innovation without limits. The second of the distinctive moments came after taking some experimental film classes in college, where Skyler explored the medium of film as yet another avenue for creativity and one on which he drew countless parallels with the built environment.
Beyond his work, Skyler is a dedicated yogi, runner, and fitness enthusiast who finds inspiration and rest in the outdoors. A passionate plant caretaker, he brings this same spirit of nurturing, growth, and curiosity into all facets of his life and work. In his spare time, he enjoys writing essays for his Substack and creating vlog content for his YouTube channel, exploring ideas that connect his professional insights with personal passions.
